MAY THEY ALL BE ONE : is the motto of the newly ordained Bishop,

Chief Minister of Goa Dr Wilfred D'Souza presided over the Valedictory 
function. Those who spoke were Fr. Jose Dias representing the priests of the 
Archdiocese, Mrs Noemia Mascarenhas spoke on behalf of the Laity. The Archbishop 
Patriarch D.Raul N.Gonsalves as well as the Chief Minister also spoke. Finally 
Auxiliary Bishop Filipe Neri Spoke and thank God and the faithful, present.

On Wednesday evening, April 13, the Archbishop Partiarch marked the 

Episcopal Ordination of his Auxiliary with a simple and familiar reception in 
front of Paco Partiarcal which was well attended by hundreds of distinguished 
guests of all creeds (Renovacao, April 16-30 1999 p-143).

Ms Suzan Dias spoke on behalf of the Youth Prof Newman Fernandes was the M.C. 
The inaugaral speech was made by Archbishop Patriarch D. Raul N.Gonsalves.

The Village of Aldona had a function dedicated to the newly consecrated 
Auxilary Bishop later that month.
